EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

|Description:||The Employee Development Specialist develops, facilitates and implements training programs for employees, in addition to determining applicable outside training resources.|
|Duties:||Confer with management, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies.|
Formulate teaching outline and determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops.
Conduct training sessions.
Test trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training.
Maintain paperwork for CPR/AED and First Aid and maintain safety checklist for Automated External Defibrillators.
Create or assist in the creation of employee, participant and safety surveys and prepare
summary of results.
Maintain employees’ training information in HRIS systems.
Provide participant coverage as needed.
|Qualifications:||To perform this job successfully, applicants must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the listed job duties, in addition to meeting the following qualifications: |
Must possess a valid driver's license, with a driving record acceptable to Opportunity Enterprises’ insurance carrier.
Must provide proof of valid auto insurance.
Must provide high school diploma/GED/official transcripts.
Must have at least one year experience in development training programs.
Must have previous public speaking experience.
Experience working with developmental disabilities is preferred.
