|Description:||The All About Kids Director is responsible for the operation of All About Kids Services, supervision of employees, facilitation of Team approach, financial coordination and ensuring service to enrolled children and families/caregivers.|
1. Supervise, coordinate and evaluate program operations and employee performance to ensure:
a. Accountability for departmental goals and objectives listed in the Strategic Plan.
b. Compliance with Part C Standards and other applicable regulations;
c. Documentation of quality service delivery system;
d. Accountability for departmental budgets;
e. Compliance with agency policies and procedures;
f. Professional development;
g. Development and/or maintenance of necessary records and reports;
h. Development and implementation of departmental procedures.
2. Provide cooperation, representation and working relationships with other organizations through participation with the following:
a. First Steps and Step Ahead Councils
b. Screening and Evaluation Teams;
c. Special Education Learning Facility (SELF), when appropriate;
d. Community setting that provides a natural environment for children with disabilities.
e. Other relevant federal, state and local organizations, programs, groups and individuals to assist in the improvement of the quality and quantity of services.
3. Assist with the development, maintenance and appropriate services and records for staff caseloads to meet established goals and objectives and to ensure compliance with state, agency and program standards, policies and procedures.
4. Assume the role of facilitator at meetings or special conferences, when appropriate.
5. Plan, direct and/or attend appropriate program meetings, agency and other organizational meetings or in-services.
6. Responsible for the supervision of All About Kids Manager, All About Kids Developmental Associate and Specialists, All About Kids Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists and Physical Therapists.

The General Responsibilities of this position may include the ability to communicate and interact with the public, co-workers, other departments, supervisors, community agencies, First Steps Councils, Step Ahead Councils, clients and client family members.
B. Physical Tasks:

Without assistance, employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to walk, crawl, sit, stand, stoop, bend, squat, push, pull with children when needed.

This position requires the ability to operate a vehicle.

Employee must have the ability to read and comprehend documents, safety rules and procedure manuals.
Employee must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Employee must have the ability to calculate and count, add, subtract, multiply, divide and work with fractions, decimals and percentages.

Employee must have the ability to comprehend, retain and follow oral and written instructions, exercise good judgment, set priorities, concentrate and focus on sensitive materials or items, listen, analyze, problem solve and make decisions.
D. Skills and Abilities:
Employee must be skilled at using the computer.
Employee must be able to make informative and persuasive presentations, self direct, work without supervision and function in high stress situations.
E. The All About Kids Director shall assume other responsibilities as requested by the President/CEO and Vice President of Community Services.
To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each of the Specific and General Responsibilities satisfactorily. Additionally, the requirements listed below are representative of the education and/or experience required to perform this job:
A. Required Licenses, Certificates, Degrees and/or experience:
Must possess a valid Driver's License, with a driving record acceptable to Opportunity Enterprises, Inc. insurance carrier.
Must have a baccalaureate degree in early childhood education/child development, special education, social work, psychology or other related field and two (2) years experience in the field of early intervention.
B. Continuing Requirements:
Must keep all certificates, licenses, and registrations current.
Must meet state competency requirements.
